There were 57 participants. 41 students solved at least one problem, 17 solved at least two problems, 8 students solved at least 3 problems, 5 students solved at least 4 problems, and 2 students solved 5 problems. The top five participants were the following.

Cash prizes for the top participants, food, T-shirts for everyone, etc. were provided thanks to our sponsors Bloomberg, Qualcomm, Vivantech and Google. Computer games and swags for many participants were also donated by Electronic Arts and Microsoft.

We would like to thank VSoE for making the labs available for the contest. David Kempe wrote the problem set. Zheng Cao, Darryl deWeese, Noel Overkamp and Yu Cheng developed sample solutions and judge's test data. Yu Cheng, Jing Huang, Siyu Yue and David Kempe worked as contest judge. Jing Huang and Yu Cheng helped with all aspects of preparation, registration and ordering food. We would also like to thank our volunteer Chandler Baker, Krishna Bharadwaj and Ho Yee Cheung who helped running the contest.
